Teachers training

Three training events were organised in the framework of The VET Learner Journey project, gathering teachers and practitioners of learning mobility and ICT from Italy, Spain, Poland, France and Netherlands.

Each event focused on different steps of learning mobility and had the threefold purposes of increasing mutual understanding and cooperation amongst VET institutes and experts in learning mobility that comes from different countries, exchanging their experience on mobility and developing new pedagogical tools for enhancing the development of students’ key competences before, during and after the learning mobility.

The structure and content of the training event was designed for both offline and online activities.

Lyon (France) 11-14 March 2019

This first Training Event focused on the preparation of mobility, before departure and 27 people from 9 different organizations took part in it.

A lot of debate occurred in order to share good practices amongst partners. The subjects tackled were the selection processes, preparation methods for students and their families and the games used to facilitate these practices.

Many information came out of these discussions and were put at good use by creating missions as part of a game to prepare the students and families before the departure in mobility.

The missions were tested with SEPR Students and, thanks to their feedback, we finalised 16 missions. They are now available in this website in the section Before.

Bologna (Italy) 25-28 November 2019

This second Training Event was dedicated to the during the mobility phase, gathering 34 teachers and practitioners of mobility from France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands and Poland.

In this occasion participants tested the training structure that improved after the event in Lyon piloting (November 2018), exchanged their experiences on the management and planning of the mobility, with particular focus on informal learning activities done during the spare time and the key role of the accompanying person. Good practices exchange was alternated with working groups aimed to design games/missions for increasing the students’ key competences during they stay abroad.

Based on the practices exchanged and their shared needs, participants drafted a set of 19 missions which were afterward tested with the students of Cnos Fap Emilia Romagna VET institute that were willing to participate to a mobility experience.

Feedbacks of students then allowed to verify learning outcomes, the attractiveness  of the missions and provided the means for their improvement. The final version is available in the During website section, for any practitioner  interested to try them out.
